The Calgary LRT is rated as one of the most cost-effectiveness light rail system in North America, thus a refurbishment in the infrastructure was needed on the 1981 downtown stations. The project managed by PCL Construction allowed the 4th street platform to receive 8 new shelters along with many other upgrades. The shelters manufactured by Enseicom included 4 TVM (ticket vending machines), 2 heated shelters and 2 standard shelters with benches. The shelters were successfully installed by Trade Sync, who has become familiar with the challenging conditions the platform can present. The stations although not open to the public, service the train at all times limiting the use of any major hoisting equipment. Trade Sync has worked closely with PCL Construction and Enseicom one two other LRT upgrades.
